Chris Cargill and David Swanson-Cargill, the two main characters in book one of the United Planets And Galactic Fleet, live in a beautiful home on the ocean π just a few kilometers away from Makatea Island ποΈ in French Polynesia π΅π«. Their home includes an incredible under-ocean basement that is used as a game room π²π― and sleeping quarters π€ for guests. The under-ocean basement features air hockey π and a pool table π±, two games that David Swanson-Cargill and Chris Cargill love to play together, especially during the rainy π§οΈ season in French Polynesia π΅π«, which runs from December through April on Earth.

The Main Floor and Stargazing Loft¶
The main floor of the house includes the living room ποΈ and a kitchen π΄ that faces directly out toward the ocean π. Chris Cargill and David Swanson-Cargillβs main bedroom π is located in the loft area of the house, featuring three walls made of translucent glass. The ceiling of the loft is also translucent, allowing David Swanson-Cargill and Chris Cargill to enjoy laying in bed together while staring up at the sky. From their bed, they can see the glowing cities on Luna π (Earth's moon), UPGF galactic ships as they enter warp π«, and all the stars π that glisten on a calm night π in the South Pacific.
The Specialized Pavilions¶
The house features two attached pavilions with very different purposes:
The Transportation Pavilion: This area holds a MEM transporter arch. A MEM transporter takes matter, changes it into energy, and sends it near the speed of light to another MEM transporter or to one of the Sol system's MEM transporter gateway routers.
The Play Pavilion: This is a dedicated space for relaxation and pets ποΈποΈ, featuring artificial grass, a swing set, and a fake fire hydrant. The fire hydrant is a fun little fixture that Chris Cargill and David Swanson-Cargillβs pups, Buster and Chance, use to lift their legs on π«£π. The play pavilion is also where Chance and Buster do their business π©, and it is equipped with automatic cleaning sprayers πΏπ«§ that wash the pavilion regularly.
Wave-Buster Technology¶
The house includes advanced shields π‘οΈ that prevent rain π§οΈ and lightning β‘οΈ from hitting the structure during thunderstorms βοΈ. A separate technology, known as π "wave-buster shields" π surrounds the home two hundred meters out. These shields π‘οΈ emit an interference pattern as waves π approach during storms βοΈ. This interference pattern calms the waves π and provides a perfectly still ocean surface around the house, even in the roughest of storms π.
The Deck¶
The house features a beautiful wrap-around deck. This deck allows direct access to Chris Cargill and David Swanson-Cargillβs shuttle πΈ, as well as the ability to scuba dive π€Ώ right from their front door. Every meter of the deck railing features a tiki torch π₯, providing a beautiful ambiance at night while David Swanson-Cargill and Chris Cargill enjoy dinner π₯ on the deck under the South Pacific stars π. David Swanson-Cargill and Chris Cargill also have their own small galactic vessel πΈ. When not in use, the vessel is parked safely under the ocean, just a couple of meters from their deck near Makatea Island ποΈ.
